With industrial optical or laser measurement, the part is scanned and compared to the CAD. Using the CAD to part scan files, we identify differences and dimensional deviations between the part and the CAD.
The CAD is considered the master or nominal part definition. Then the part is measured and aligned using one or more sets of part features. This allows us to better understand the part discrepancies to better understand the part problem.
The output is a color coded PDF report and or an interactive color 3D model that allows the user to pick any points of interest.
Additionally, automatically updated point deviations based on different alignments can be accessed by the customer.
